Short bio:
I am a partner and head of Charity Law at Lodders.
I specialise in advising charities and not-for-profit clients, including setting up and incorporating charities, mergers and restructuring, governance issues, and drafting commercial agreements.
I have a corporate background which means that I am especially experienced when acting for corporate charities and not-for-profit organisations.
I also specialise in acting for partnerships.
By virtue of my specialisation, I am involved with many charities and have been head of the lawyers in the UK200 Group.
My clients include agricultural clients, including various breed societies; ecclesiastical clients, and family businesses.
Outside of Lodders I am a member of the Charity Law Association and the consultant editor of the Law Society’s Book on the Companies Act 2006 and for many years was a contributing editor of Butterworth’s Corporate Law Service.
I have maintained my elite national lawyer status in the two leading legal directories, Chambers and Partners UK 2022 and the Legal 500 2022.
