The LCF was established in 2016 and supports regional charities that make a real difference in their communities. Since its inception, the LCF has donated more than £100,000 to local, independent charities.
The drinks reception brought together colleagues and friends of the Foundation, as well as volunteers and trustees of the 2023 beneficiaries, to network, raise important charity funds, and view art by Bob Dylan, the first-ever portraits by international film star Johnny Depp, and a tribute to Peaky Blinders, all showcased at the gallery.
This year, the LCF selected NetworkFour, Stratford Foodbank, and Home-Start South Warwickshire as the beneficiaries for its 2023 fundraising. Each was chosen for its dedication to supporting local communities where Lodders has offices, namely in Stratford upon Avon, Henley in Arden, Birmingham, and Cheltenham, and have benefitted from money raised from local events organised by the LCF and additional support from Lodders.
At the beginning of November, the three charities were each awarded a £5,000 donation from the LCF to support their vital work in the West Midlands region, in addition to the £2,000 donation they each received in September.
This year’s LCF fundraising events programme has included the annual Family Fun Day and Dog Walk in Henley in Arden which attracted over 200 people. Earlier in the year, the annual LCF quiz took place at The Embankment, Stratford, and saw more than 80 Lodders employees participate to raise charity funds.
David Lodder, chairman of the LCF, said: “In the current climate, supporting our local charities is crucial, with many of them truly being a lifeline for families, young adults, and children in our community. This year, we’re proud to partner with three charity beneficiaries – dedicated individuals working tirelessly to make a positive impact. We hope the funds raised will support these inspiring charities in sustaining their incredible work.”
Lodders created the Lodders Charitable Foundation (LCF) in 2016 to raise vital financial support and provide help to local charities where it can make a genuine difference.
