I’m a partner and head of Lodders’ Town and Country Homes team.
I specialise in the conveyancing of residential properties, particularly listed buildings, properties with complex planning histories, and the sales of properties with neighbour disputes.
I love the challenge of doing a technically difficult job in a time-sensitive environment; helping to make my clients’ house moves as stress-free as possible, and the sheer joy of my clients’ excitement on the day of completion.
I joined Lodders in April 2021 having previously been a partner and head of residential property at a firm in Worcester. Prior to that, I was the Chief Legal Officer at the Brecon Beacons National Park Local Planning Authority where, amongst other things, I prosecuted people who carried out works to listed buildings without obtaining Listed Building Consent.
I am a trustee of the Upton Blues Festival, which is one of the largest free music festivals in the UK and is run entirely by volunteers. Every year the trustees give back the (considerable) profit that is made to good causes in the local community.
My very first job was in shipping litigation, and I am actually a qualified Chartered Shipbroker. It’s a completely irrelevant qualification in relation to the last 20 years of my career in property and planning, but I remain rather proud of it.
I am based in Cheltenham
