Paul Mourton

Short bio:

I am Lodders’ managing partner and a lead partner in our Real Estate group.  My role is to provide the strategic direction for the firm and lead my team of exceptional Partners.

Before being appointed as managing partner in January 2018, I led our award-winning Real Estate practice and I continue to play an active part in its strategic direction. In 2013 I was responsible for opening and managing the firm’s new office in Cheltenham and have led and overseen its growth to date.

In terms of my property work, I specialise in investment property transactions and large-scale property development for commercial clients, and act for one of the country’s largest logistics companies as well as other various national and regional property companies. I deal with all manner of developments from logistic and distribution sheds, hotels, car showrooms, out of town retail schemes and business parks, medical centres, and large residential schemes. I also act for private investors in the acquisition and disposal of investment property and for developers in the forward funding of commercial developments.

Outside of the office, I am a trustee of the Get A-Head Charitable Trust, which supports patients suffering from diseases of the head and neck, with a particular focus on cancer. The charity, based at the QE Hospital in Birmingham, also offers invaluable support to the families of those affected.

I am also a trustee of the Cheltonian Endowment Trust, which is a trust associated with the governance of Cheltenham College.
