Top tier Legal 500 rankings for Lodders lawyers

Lodders has retained its top tier rankings in the 2020 edition of the UK’s leading guide to the best law firms and lawyers, The Legal 500.

Seven of the firm’s specialist practice areas and 22 of its solicitors have been recognised by the guide, with three of its lawyers named as ‘Leading Individuals.’

Tier 1

For the second year running, Lodders’ Family, Private Client (Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate), Real Estate, and Agriculture and Estates teams retain the highest top tier ranking,

Also ranked again this year are Lodders’ Charities team (Tier 2), Corporate and Commercial team (Tier 3), and its dedicated Property Litigation practice.

Leading lawyers

The Legal 500 gives special recognition to a number of Lodders’ legal specialists, including Charities and not-for-profit lawyer Mark Lewis, and head of Lodders’ Family Law practice Beverley Morris, who both retain their standing as ‘Leading Lawyers’ in the Guide’s elite list of the UK’s most outstanding lawyers.

For the first time, Mark Miller, partner and head of Lodders’ Real Estate practice, one of the largest in the West Midlands, joins the roll-call of Leading Lawyers. With particular experience in strategic land matters, Mark works primarily with landowners across the country on large scale residential development and strategic land matters, often involving PLC housebuilders.

Also partners in Lodders’ real estate practice are James Mottram, who the Guide describes as ‘exceptional, quick, detailed and accurate’, and Victoria Longmore who it says is ‘very efficient and gets matters resolved ASAP’.

The Guide gives special mention of Lodders’ ‘focus on the agricultural and rural sector’. Head of the firm’s Agricultural and Estate team, James Spreckley, is described as having ‘excellent knowledge over the whole property spectrum,’ and partner Caroline Nemecek as ‘an exceptional property professional and problem solver’.

The Guide describes Lodders’ family law practice as ‘one of the finest private client firms in the Midlands’ and its head Beverley Morris as an ‘exceptional practitioner’ who is ‘totally committed to her clients’ and ‘handles her cases with great skill and dexterity’.
