The Lodders Renewables Conference is a new event in our calendar and will take place at Merevale Hall on 16 May 2024.

We are bringing together speakers from across the sector to provide insight into industry trends and real life experiences for new opportunities and challenges as we enter an era of ongoing change for land management. 

This new conference will be a valuable event for landowners, land agents, and their advisors, and for anyone seeking to generate new income streams by exploring pathways into the world of energy generation, storage and transmission. We do hope you can join us for what should be an interesting and informative morning.

The agenda

You are invited to arrive at 10 am for refreshments. The conference will start promptly at 10:30 am and conclude at 1:00pm with a delicious lunch to follow.

The full line-up of speakers for the Renewables Conference is:

  • Simon Murrells of Innova Renewables, who will discuss how to identify what land to develop and how to put together a development
  • Nick Green of Savills, who will talk through identifying development land and property suitable for hosting energy projects and how to value this land
  • Hugh Taylor of Roadnight Taylor, who will discuss National Grid connection landowner feasibility studies and connection applications
  • Peter White of Gopsall Accountants, who will speak about how change in land use impacts tax position, important for succession planning
  • James Collier of Howkins and Harrison, who will provide an overview of the local renewables market
